Tampopo Ramen serves curry Rice

When you go to Tampopo Ramen, you probably think noodles, broth and amazingly authentic Japanese food, however did you know that Tampopo Ramen also serves curry rice dishes? Japanese curry is not as spicy as indian curry, like the kind you might find in Washington Heights at the restaurant Kismat. But the Japanese style is a brown curry that is “spiced” and full of flavor. We add peppers, carrots, and onions, and you can add a protein like chicken or pork. You can also keep it vegetarian and top it with shiitake mushrooms. Pro tip? Try it with breaded pork katsu. It’s similar to german schnitzel. It’s great on top of Japanese curry. The best place to find these dishes when you are trying to decide what to eat for dinner, is at Tampopo Ramen on 1 Bennett Avenue in Washington Heights NYC.
